How to Update:

  1. Download and unzip the current release.

  3. Look for extension-name under the Extensions list, and click its Disable link.
  4. Delete the old extension directory at ext/vendor/extension from your server.
  5. Upload the new extension directory to ext/vendor/extension on your server.
  6. Back in the ACP, click the Enable link.

How to Uninstall:

  2. Look for extension-name under the Enabled Extensions list, and click its Disable link.
  3. To permanently uninstall, click Delete Data and then delete the extension directory from your server.

NOTE:
Due to the fact the themes are built from scratch in order to use a modern, powerful framework, you will need to use the ported extensions (MODs in case you are still running phpBB 3.0) from this section: http://www.sitesplat.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=5 or of course the Premium addons from here: http://www.sitesplat.com/phpBB3/marketplace.php which are not only professionally coded but tested in very large boards to ensure the end-user can truly enjoy a superior and unique product with simply no comparison.

This will not only ensure the extensions/addons are working as intended but also provide an extra selection for the extensions are worth and safe to install on your board. You might be wondering, why though at this point and the reason is that, pretty much 95% of the extensions on phpBB are coded by people who are very new to the software and they definitely don't know best code practices. I'm going as far as saying they in fact do not understand the development process/logic and Database relation at all. Those extensions are also generally not supported either or supported very little leaving you with a product most likely will get abandoned in just few months or not being able to survive further phpBB releases.

Please remember this, the fact that an extension is on the phpBB CDB (Customization Database) does not mean that extension is properly coded and/or 100% safe. Never mind the extension in the "under Development" section. Please stay clear of that section at all costs! You have been warned!

If you have a particular request regarding an extension you would like to have ported, you can open it here: http://www.sitesplat.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=11

Yes and No. xD

You need to backup first all the fields you're using right now, then you proceed to update, and in the end you put back all the fields information you saved on the right place as were before. ;)
