Beside the poll choice I'm very much interested in hearing your thoughts on the reason why you chose X option oppose to another X option.

If I was to choose a width it would be between 960px to 1200px.

Why? I just found that to be the optimal width range over the years.

Same as Paul really. I think anything over 1200 is a bit overkill. You can get all the info you need up to 1200

Id like 1200+ but i cant use it because when you use this size or larger the section that has the users AV, postcount, location etc next to their posts gets made larger also and looks crap (needs to stay the same size giving the post text section more space instead of sharing a % with the posters details section).

The forum width should be over 1200 because for people with larger screens the forum looks silly in its current width. As this does not affect small screens & medium screens it makes sense to include larger screens rather than exclude them.

Less than 960px.
Why? bcoz nobody vote for it. But as I know, people have 2 smartphone but dont have laptop of desktop, such bigger screens.

I think the question is not phrased correctly. Bootstrap in both BBoots and Flatboots has various breaking points that allow for the forum elements to be resized. These breaking points go from a low number I think 360px which is used for mobile phones and such to larger resolutions up to I think 1200px. If a screen is larger than 1200 px the forum elements no longer become enlarged but rather stay as they are, for screens up to 1800px that is still not much of an issue, but for big screens with resolutions of 2500-4500px then it becomes a massive issue as the elements remain the size for 1200 pixels and what happens is a stretching out which makes it look ugly.

Essentially there is no ideal forum width, but the forum should be able to render in whatever resolution screen the user happens to use.

Exactly. I think that for 1080p it should go to let's say 1400px.
And for 4k a higher value. So all resolutions can view the website the same or very similar way.
