This means BBchat can no longer exist:
marketplace.php?mode=view&item_id=66

Feel free to voice your anger here below or Twitter.

FYI:
A previous issue with chatkit pricing model:
viewtopic.php?p=29638#p29638
and:
https://github.com/pusher/chatkit-client-js/issues/182

Q: What's the plan now?
A: I'm considering rebuilding this from scratch and making it a standalone app that does not rely on a third party service like Chatkit. I don't have any ETA at the moment. Stay tuned for news around this in the coming months.

PS:
Poop emoji seems to be the right fit here!

Well that sucks. This was really one of those tent-pole features I was looking forward to using. Never even got to deploy it!

Funny, if you know the history, eh Dave?
They fucking increased the price so much that no one cares about them anymore, making them painfully die because of their own greed.

Well deserved :poom:

@Iveco, indeed :-/
After I reached out to their VP asking for a custom plan for my clients here, they pretty much ridiculed me for having the chat at such low cost for the public and told me I would never succeed. I was the first developer to officially developed a fully custom coded chat with Vue.js and a modern integration with modular components based on their API that was still in Beta (actually more alpha than beta! ). I contributed to their codebase in both the JS sdk and the PHP sdk pointing out bugs and providing fixes and solutions. Tons of money and time invested in it. What a bad company to deal with.

I have to say, someone with proper business development experience would have recognized the opportunity here and offered SiteSplat custom plans and support so they could be in the forum market. If you don't have chat in a forum market then you are just leaving money on the table as chat provider API/company. But nope, nothing, let's shut down instead. great business model.

@eunaumtenhoid, I'm working on something... don't ask for ETA though :)

so much in the works as usual... Stay tuned.

Look around the forum and I can see you are very busy with supporting and updating stuffs. That's why I don't want to push you much. I, as a client, really appreciate your work.
Fighting my friend!  .
Be safe in this COVID season.

I understood, but that's why I said that it would be interesting for you to remove the ext and replace the credits that you would buy other extensions of yours, so that in the future when everything resolves to buy the chat again, but you decide, GOOD LUCK! :plus1:
