Nope. How would you envision it? Explain the idea. It might be possible to implement it.

Just like eBay. People post pictures and description with their product and duration of auction, from 1 day to 1 year. Other people bid, and at the end of time period highest bid wins. Personal details of winner and seller are automatically shared with emails upon completion.

The least bid value, bid increment, instant buy (maximum value, without auction), shipping details, should be established by seller.

I’ll see what I can do for the “BBmarketGoods” version, which is the version allows you to sell physical goods. There the auction option would definitely fit the bill. In the “BBmarket” would not make much sense as that is only for digital downloads…

Trouble with this is, you would need to allow members to sell physical goods, how do you control that as a forum owner? People will just create listings for goods they don’t have and defraud your genuine members. BBmarket allows a forum owner to check that the software exists, works and that it isn’t copyrighted before it’s made available for sale.

Even if you were to limit access to sales to users with X amount of posts, people will post any old crap just to boost there post count in order to place a sale! I have seen this many times on eBay, X amount of positive feedback within a short period of time and then offer a bargain for sale only to rip eBay customers off. Paypal offers protection, that protection isn’t always in place when using paypal for purchases of physical goods outside of eBay.

It’s also worth pointing out that there would likely be legal recourse too! Just because you put something within your terms and conditions doesn’t mean it’s legal, enforceable or that you can’t be held accountable.

I’m not against the idea, I actually have a dedicated forum where people can sell their old hardware… Just food for thought!
